Based on the U.S. Army’s support, Cbana has developed one of the most highly-sensitive micro-FIDs, tested using a hexane/pentane mixture with a detection limit of 8ng hexane. Cbana’s Micro-GC will be integrated with the Micro-FID. This Micro-GC/FID can be used not only for the U.S. Army’s 8hr/7day missions (to monitor military personnel health status, identify chemical threats, and detect human activity in caves and structures), but also for various other applications including contraband detection in cargo, fumigant analysis in confined structures or food, food hygiene analysis, forensic analysis, petroleum analysis, and air quality monitoring in contaminated air circumstances.
